- Description
- This study tests the relative importance of the factors that contribute to the overall value of different retail outlets for seniors’ segments in Australia. The conceptual model and proposed research plan are unique in that they use the classification ideas developed by Moschis et al. based on seniors' health and isolation, to compare responses from four seniors' segments and a younger control group. A range of factors are investigated, under the broad areas of store characteristics (eg, perceived service orientation) and customer characteristics (eg, social outcomes). Data collection via a cross-sectional field study is described and implications of the findings for theory and practice are discussed.
